anyone who's walked the streets of Manhattan can tell you. A person can buy a Rolex imitation for $15 that looks pretty darn good from a social distance. So it's kinda hard to tell if someone is offering a good deal on a watch purchased on the Internet. One has to rely on the reputation of the seller. The enthusiasts on this site feel a sense of protection for each other and want to make sure all the group buys and deals here are fair. I kinda agree with you. Ultimately, the decision to purchase is up to the buyer alone, caveat emptor. If I paid for a watch, it was delivered, I liked the way it looked, and it kept good time, then I would be happy. I always assume someone, somewhere is making a buck or two. The amount of profit is not up to me to decide. That is based on supply and demand. If there was intentional misrepresentation during the sale, then that would be taking advantage of our love for the cars, and shame on the seller, but it would still be a matter of let the buyer beware.
